AVI has announced we will source all shell eggs from cage-free hens by the end of 2020 or sooner if supplies become available. We will also source all pre-cracked (liquid) eggs produced from cage-free hens by the end of 2020 or sooner if supplies become available.

AVI has announced an enhanced set of expectations for our suppliers in which we procure chicken. By 2024, we will source only broiler (meat) chickens certified by Global Animal Partnership (GAP). In addition, our suppliers will agree to slaughter of birds by utilizing a multistep controlled atmosphere process or low atmospheric pressure stunning.
